Vetrarnótt I got this download through the Dark Times cassette released by Sheep Chase records. I don't consider myself well versed in Norwegian punk but Dark Times deliver great bursts of energy, in my opinion. I can just imagine the original review they got at hissig(dot)no, but from what I read their music is not for the ears of stupid trolls. Keep on, punk on! Favorite track: Be Cool.

"Be Cool" is the first digital single from the much anticipated debut album of Dark Times. Catchy as ever before, yet not compromising the bands punk attitude. The title track is followed by the intense "I See You" - a short mindblowing inferno. The band has been known for their noisy and melodic punk rock through the last years of touring with shows at a high variety of arenas throughout Europe. The dark times are coming - fall 2014 on Sheep Chase Records.

Dark Times is a part of the Black Hole Crew in Oslo, together with bands such as Haust and Okkultokrati. With only two 7-inches and a tape they've already gotten a lot of attention, including praise from NME and Brooklyn Vegan. They are the first Norwegian band getting a longer feature in Amercian punk rock bible Maximum RocknRoll. The band has been compared to Black Flag, Dinosaur Jr, Mika Miko and early Sonic Youth in a catchy inferno of no-wave, noiserock and punk.
